иконописикониSo I’ve started running again. Again being a very loose word. My first foray into a routine of running involved getting up before sunup with Jon Knowles over the Brooklyn Bridge. This taught me a few things.
- raman amplifier
- online casinoI am not a morning person.
- When an unmorning person runs a few miles in the morning, he looks something like what our cat looks like 5 seconds before the hairball expulsion begins.
One neato gadget that caught my eye is the Nike+iPod thing. There’s a cool flash showing how this works on the Nike Plus site but I can’t link directly to it. The Apple info is офис обзавежданеhere. (I hope that the iPod isn’t why the Apple running girl is running so angry.)
But anyway, as a beginning runner, I’m morally obligated to not spend hundreds of dollars on cool running gear. So I also found gmap-pedometer.com . It’s awesome!
Anyway, first run was two miles… will try to a week. Be nice to get up to a half-marathon coming up here called something by the Sea… It’s a run from SLO to Avila.
Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve spent some time here. (sawry)
Now that summer has officially started, the question that demands to be asked is: How are you going to enjoy yourself?
Might I suggest a new cocktail to ponder instead of your usual gin’n'tonic, vodka tonic, hefeweizen summer drink rotation? Try the French Mojito (aka the Momo). The French Mojito is best enjoyed on hot afternoons somewhere between the Bloody Mary and Martini launch envelopes.
- 2 parts vodka (don’t get cheap here)
- 1/2 part fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 part simple sugar syrup (equal parts sugar/water solution)
- 1/2 part Chambord
- A dozen or so mint leaves
- Club Soda
Muddle mint leaves with vodka to extract the mint flavor. Add lime, sugar syrup, and lime juice. Add ice (crushed is nice), and top with club soda. For a prime time drink, substitute club soda with champagne.
